How we're different
Most lawyers are concerned about cleaning up problems after they happen. Our goal, however, is to prevent abuse before its hurts someone you love. That’s why we focus on nursing home conditions-– specifically, understaffing-–to ensure that your loved one is being well cared for.
California law requires that skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) provide at least 3.2 hours of nursing care, per patient, per day, yet over 90% of these homes have failed to meet this important law. Even if you are convinced your home is in compliance, find out. The majority of negligent injuries and/or deaths to patients are the result of poor facility conditions, largely due to understaffing. That’s what you’re helping to change when you contact us since, frankly, most patients are too fearful to report it themselves.
How it works
Since SNFs that violate this law jeopardize your loved one's security and well-being, the law allows patients and their families to recover substantial penalties from the homes (most of which are owned by large corporations). In fact, the penalty increases every day there is an understaffing violation; this allows us to help you recover, at no cost to you. Even the brief consultation to discuss your situation is free and, again, is with no obligation whatsoever. Given the enormous risks patients that cannot care for themselves face, we strive to make the process as simple as we can. Contact us today.
